This is a confusing product because when you receive it, it does say it is a lotion. However, the listing does describe it as a toner lotion. It is definitely a toner. This could be possibly a language barrier of translating from Japanese to English, where they are using the word lotion. In the United States lotion would definitely have more of a body to it and this is a definite liquid.
I did not smell anything so I believe this is unscented. Again this is definitely a toner so it’s practically water. It has a common top to the dispenser that I see with toner as well. This product goes on very easily and absorbs quickly. I had no adverse reactions and it felt nice enough on my skin.
The ingredient list is similar to other types of toner I’ve used, including botanicals, hyaluronic acid, and hydroxyethl urea, but it also has other ingredients like marine collagen and hydrolyzed elastin. Of course, the big ingredient it has in it is the Cellament, which is chicken embryonic ovarian tissues which is supposed to be big in skincare. This is not listed in the direct ingredient list however it is mentioned as an ingredient on the side that is in Japanese. After translating it, it states it is in the product. This would make sense as Japan has very strict marketing laws. I doubt they would be able to market a product without that ingredient it. I’m giving it the benefit of the doubt.
Overall, I think it’s a decent toner and it does the job it’s meant to. Of course with skin care it’s difficult to tell how it’s going to affect long-term without long-term use, but I saw this product delivered on what I expected.
